Plot
Ram was a paranormal investigator. He was in love with Megha. Later, they broke up, and she got married. After years, Ram gets a call from Megha, seeking help. Megha’s husband and the reality show team were killed mysteriously in a deep forest. While Ram starts investigating, he finds out some secrets, personal demons, and spirits, beyond this paranormal activity.
Star Performance
Kishore has done a decent job. Shruthy’s performance is sincere even in the limited scoped character. Gargi, Merin, Arya, Meenakshi, Siraj, Greeshma, and Kalesh are good in their supporting roles.
Analysis
The film starts with an interesting incident, and the following sequences are handled well. However, the film loses its grip after a few scenes. Resul Pookkutty is the sound designer in this film and has designed the tones well. Keiko Nakahara’s camera work is impressive. The frames fixed in the deep woods are excellent. Bijibal’s music is impressive in the investigation scenes. The forest scenes are finely shot, with the BGM adding depth to the sequence. The VFX work is decent. The film is technically sound, developing the audience’s interest. Though the film is technically excellent, the script is a bit weak. Many threads are not connected, and are left in the middle, making the audience question their beginning point. Even the characters are not properly involved in the scenes which they are supposed to be. Kishore’s character is good, but it loses its grip in the middle. The same goes for Shruthy’s character. Horror and thriller genres are okay, but both are not fully covered.

Despite its negative points, the film has some interesting performances and concept to enjoy. Vadakkan – Watchable once!
