Bijibal Maniyil is an Indian composer and a singer born on 21 May 1973. Bijibal is not only a playback singer but also an expert Keyboardist. Bijibal field of interest includes film scores, classical and dance music. Bijibal is a very renowned composer and has won many prestigious awards including a National Film Award. Bijibal made his debut in the Malayalam film industry as a music director with the film Arabikatha in 2007. The film won him Mullassery Raju Music Award for the best music director in 2007. Sujith Vasudevan is a music director and a singer who mainly composes film scores for Malayalam films. He is prominently known by his stage name ‘Sharreth’. He composed music for some of the Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films as well. He was born on 3 October, 1969 in Kollam, Kerala. His parents are Vasudevan and Indiradevi. He is a student and a disciple of M. Balamuralikrishna. He is also an excellent Playback singer and sung songs in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada films. In his early days, he worked as a keyboard player under music director Raveendran. His music directorial debut took place with Malayalam film Kshanakkathu in 1990. His first song as a playback singer was along with K. S. Chithra which is ‘Dum Dum Dum’ for the Malayalam film Onningu Vannengil. He recorded his first album in Tamil at the age of 16, which is ‘Sangeetha Paravai’. He is also a good Carnatic vocalist. He had made his mark in the Malayalam film industry with a good number of hits. He was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best music director for the movie Thirakkatha in 2008. His other awards include Kerala State Film Award for Best Music Director, Kerala State Film Award for Best Classical Music Singer and Mullassery Raju Music Award. He is one of the judges of the Idea Star Singer till the end of Season 5 and played a prominent role in bringing a huge popularity for the show across Kerala. He’s been a judge for the other shows like Superstar – the Ultimate, Ghandharva sangeetham, Indian Voice Season 2, Indian Voice Junior and Amritha TV musical reality show Superstar. He is one of the rare gems of the Indian Music and his compositions reflect the classical purity of traditional music. Well-known singer Unnikrishnan, who rendered the song Sudhamantram from the movie Devadasi claims the song as the hardest song recorded for Indian Cinema ever.      


Prashant Pillai

Prashant Pillai, born on 8 September 1981, in Pune, Maharashtra, India, is a Music Producer, Composer, Film score writer, and Bandleader. After completing his graduation in Sound Engineering from Chennai, he worked as his guide and mentor A.R. Rahman for a short while and then settled in Pune. In 2004, Prashant got his first ever break to compose a radio jingle. He did his job quite good and was praised for it. He composed music for Bejoy Nambiar’s short movie Rahu in 2007. Pillai got his first break in feature films in 2010 in the Malayalam film Nayakan, directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, featuring actors like Thilakan, Jagathy Sreekumar, etc. Again he collaborated with Lijo Jose Pellissery in 2011 for the film City of Gods. 2011 was a successful year for Prashant as he even made his debut in commercial cinema with the film Shaitan, starring Kalki Koechlin, Rajeev Khandelwal, Rajat Kapoor, etc. and scored background music for Malayalam movie Bombay March 12, directed by Babu Janardhan. He composed background music for MTV Rush, a series of 12 short stories, directed by Bejoy Nambiar. After a gap of one year, in 2013, Prashant released his third soundtrack for his close friend Bejoy Nambiar, in his movie David. After the City Of God, Prashant scored music for Lijo Jose Pellissery's Malayalam film, Amen. The film became a blockbuster, and the music became very popular. Pillai got two awards namely 16th Asianet Film Awards 2014 and TTK Prestige Vanitha Film Awards - Best Music Director for the film Amen. Currently, he is preparing music for Sidhartha Siva’s Untitled Malayalam Film.
