Plot
Nakulan and Shalini are husband and wife, and they reside in Malabar. When the villagers started asking them about their plan for a baby, it started to affect Shalini. How is her newly married life affected by the society’s expectations, and how will she overcome the issues? The answers to these questions form the rest of the plot.
Star Performance
Arjun Ashokan has done his character well as a caring son and a doting husband. His Vadakara slang is perfect. Anagha Narayanan is good in a unique dialect, which she is comfortable with. Her performance is natural. Maala Parvathi plays an emotional mother and mother-in-law.
Analysis
The film has no unique script. But it revolves around a few incidents that happen in the lives of the newlyweds. There are a lot of films in the same genre, which come with similar plots. Though the film lacks novelty in the subject, some cameos made the story interesting, especially Sreekanth’s cameo, which is pretty decent. Though it was forcedly added to the story, it was passable. The director made the actors perform in their style, and that’s one of the biggest plus points in the film. One more plus is that there are no cinematic scenes or over-the-top scenes found. The visuals are pretty decent. However, editing is not up to the mark. The BGM is okay.
