Plot
Yohannan and Dinanath are cop colleagues. While Yohannan knows the nook and corner of the practically followed systems other than the rules book, Dinanath is still in the learning process. They don’t have smooth terms. The senior cop carries out the cases with ease without being hurried, and the young cop approaches everything with a clear sense. Once, on a night shift, while they were patrolling, these two cops received dangerous calls. Despite their personal issues and their strained relationship, they have to solve the emerging situation. Were they able to make it?
Star Performance
Dileesh’s performance is perfect. He has brought the senior cop in front of us with his calm and cool approach. Roshan Mathew has delivered a good performance, emoting well in the scenes where he is not comfortable with the crime scene and fighting with his inner conflicts. These two actors’ chemistry is great, too. Lakshmi Menon is impressive as Salomi despite her limited screen time.
Analysis
Kabir has well-crafted this cop entertainer with gripping sequences. The tense situations are well-shot, and the narration and the performances make us travel with them throughout. In the same scene, the mindset of both cops are neatly portrayed. Although the film maintains its excitement, the climax doesn’t make us feel so satisfied. That doesn’t mean it is not worth it; for the tensions built throughout the film, the climax has less impact. The visuals by Manesh are mention-worthy. He has crafted it with finesse. If Lakshmi Menon had been given a few more screen time, it would’ve been better for her role to create a strong impression.
