Plot
Sandeep Balakrishnan is a cloud-kitchen owner. He underwent a heart transplant and is always accompanied by Jerry. Sandeep travels to Pune to attend the marriage engagement of Colonel Ravindranath’s daughter, Haritha. Sandeep was transplanted with Ravindranath’s heart. As the engagement was called off, he had to stay with Haritha and her mother, Devika. He develops a special bond with them and helps them with their needs.
Star Performance
Mohanlal performs excellently as usual. His chemistry with Sangeeth Prathap is perfect. Sangeeth is fine in his comedy timing. Sangita fits perfectly in the role of Devika. Her emotions as a mother and a wife are impeccable. Sangita and Malavika’s chemistry is astounding. Malavika has got a solid role to show her acting prowess, and she has utilized it well. Siddique makes his presence felt with an incredible performance. Baburaj is good in his role.
Analysis
Hridayapoorvam has a heart-warming plot with some good emotional moments. The casting is good, and all the stars fit well in the given roles, and they impressed us. Although Sangita played efficiently, she didn’t look like a mother to Malavika, but as a sister. However, the pacing is not steady. It is a bit slow, which may not impress all the movie-goers. Also, a few scenes that add no value to the film should not have been added. It should’ve been removed, at least while editing the film for one last time. There are a couple of songs that put a break in the movie’s flow. The visuals and BGM are good. The editing should’ve been better.

Despite the pacing issues and unnecessary song insertion, the film is watchable once for the grounded performances and some emotional moments.
