Plot
When the girl children were denied education, and communal issues clashed with many and created social injustice, Jyotirao Phule and his Savitribai Phule fought against it and insisted on the right to educate a girl child. Even Savitri was denied education. But her husband Jyotiba helped her gain knowledge. When Jyotiba’s father is against his ideologies, as she is of an orthodox nature, Jyotiba leaves the house. He sells his share of properties and uses them for social causes.
Star Performance
Patralekha excels in her role as Savitribai Phule. Her grounded performance helps her character stand tall. Pratik is excellent in his role as Jyotirao Phule. His performance is subtle.

Analysis
The biggest positive of this film is its strong narration. The compelling and understandable way of storytelling attracts the audience. There are no melodramatic scenes but lively scenes with subtle performances. The courtroom scenes are interesting made, and the dialogues are appreciable. The film is visually too good. The cinematography and art direction take us to the era when our ancestors were fighting for us.

It is a wonderful film with good performances. It would’ve been better if they had added Savitribai to the title.
