Looks like Justice Hema Committee will end up without a proper conclusion.
According to the recent media reports, around 20 to 23 cases associated with the Justice Hema Committee will be officially shut down by the SIT formed on the instructions of Kerala High Court, because the parties concerned are not interested to pursue the case further. 10 more cases will follow a similar pattern if the victims are not ensured minimum security. Amongst the 35 cases originally filed, only one chargesheet has been successfully filed in the court so far.
Last year, through the Right to Information commission, the findings of the Justice Hema Committee report were released. This caused a furore in the Malayalam industry, since actors like Siddique, Mukesh etc. were accused of grave offences like sexual harassment. Even stars like

weren’t spared, though he strongly denied all the allegations.
Things turned so bad that the original committee of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists, led by Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, had to be dissolved owing to the multiple allegations against some of its members, including Siddique, who was arrested briefly before being ultimately released for the lack of proper evidence. Interestingly, the cases against Mukesh and Siddique haven’t been dismissed in the recent action taken by the SIT team.
