His father is a scientist in NASA and ICTP while his mother was once a music teacher and a homemaker now. He studied Computer Application and Aviation and worked in Astra Business Services. He was a model and an actor from Mumbai. His father wants him to finish an engineering course, but he wanted to be an actor. When he finished his studies, he told his parents about his plans to be an actor and the two agreed to him.

And like any other actors, he transferred to Mumbai and became a model at first. After that, he marked his debut through the show Chand Chupa Badal Mein as Siddharth Sood in 2010. Then, he played the role of Mahi Anoop Shekhar, as a hopeful cricketer and a fanatic of the game in the Indian soap .

He is not just into acting, Abhishek is also into writing and he is currently writing a book about the human relationships. Though the book has fictitious characters, he said that the content of the book was constructed based on his own life. He was writing the book when he broke up with his girlfriend that pushed him further in writing.
