Plot: Balakrishnan ( Biju Menon The tall, dark and handsome Biju Menon started his >> Read More... ) is a very unlucky man, but he has a lot of property that will come to his name once he gets married. Sadly, he lost whatever little he had left when he was swindled by his lady love Maya (Lakshmi Rai). Maya had stayed married to him for only two days. A very upset Balakrishnan goes to his childhood friend Lakshmi (Baburaj), and together they concoct a plan to fool Bala's uncle into signing over ancestral property to Bala. What's going to happen next? Will they turn "her" in, to the police?
Analysis:Â This is a typical Sibi-Udhay script, with twists and a predictable climax. Their writing is aimed at getting a few laughs out of the audience, and Mayamohini manages to do that, despite humor that comes off as lewd sometimes. Certainly, this kind of comedy involving a double entendres isn't suitable for everybody's taste. The first half is more fast-paced than the second as things start getting duller towards the end. Most of the jokes are concentrated in the middle part of the movie because the gender change is mostly seen in this.
Dileep has been made up well into a woman, but not into a desirable one. However, everybody involved in the movie feel like it's been really cleverly done, and try to pass off a rough-handed, man-like woman like a hot one. That really falls flat. A lot of the jokes are very imaginative and creative, and come in the slapstick variety of gender-bending, and aren't suited to everybody's liking.
Star Performances: The director is Jose Thomas. Anil Nair did the cinematography. Madhu Warrier produced it under the Color Factory banner. Berny-Ignatius's songs are mediocre. Sarath Vayalar and Bijibal have also contributed here and there for the music in the movie. Dileep in the lead role is a great reason to watch the movie. Make-up artist Roshan N G is credited with the wonderful transformation of Dileep into a woman. Vijayaraghavan, Raai Laxmi Raai Laxmi or Lakshmi Rai is a famous South Indian >> Read More... , and Mythili play small roles. The movie has been remade as 'Shrimathi Jayalalitha' in Kannada.

What's not there?
1. It's not a family movie because of too many double meaning dialogues and innuendos.
2. The film is a little too long for a storyline like this one.
3. The movie isn't appealing to all kinds of audiences, because of the type of humor.
Verdict: For somebody looking for a quality weekend watch, give this a miss. However, if you're somebody who can get a good laugh from crass silliness and double entendres, go for it.
