Plot
Neelankavil Joseph Kurien (Prathap Pothen) is the protagonist of the movie and he is an aged man without a blissful life. He is keen to live alone as a consequence of a fight from his wife. Neelankavil Joseph Kurien (Prathap Pothen) and his two sons are looked after by their handmaiden, Vineetha. The narrative takes a humorous turn when a thief enters the household. What happens next? The rest of the story deals with this.
Star Performance
All the characters were enriched in the drama, as usual. Yet, it was highlighted by the exceptional account of staging by Neelankavil Joseph Kurien (Prathap Pothen). The reclusive and lonesome traits were presented strikingly. The works of Sreenath Bhasi as a thief and Sreelakshmi as the housemaid are superb and further add to the charms.
Analysis
“Once Upon A Time There Was A Kallan” conveys an influential social statement. The act has prominent sarcastic elements combined with moral ethics, yet it lacks centralization and flow. The strong performances will be the talk of the town. In contrast, the hardships of Faizal Mohammed sometimes cry out for comical aspects required for such comedy. In a few scenes the humor was not suitable enough, as expected.
