Nishan KP Nanaiah, also known as Nishan is an actor in Karnataka, in India. He was brought up at Kolkata. He has done acting into Malayalam movies. His acting in some of the other movies includes- Telugu, Hindi and Tamil. He can speak around 5 languages. He works very nicely when it comes to picking new languages. Therefore, he is naturally able to work into different languages. In 2009, he made his debut for the Hindi movie Cycle Kick. But this movie was not released. In this year itself, he got an offer into a Malayalam movie "Ritu". Then in the 2010 release "Sibi Malayil's Apoovaragam, he became one of the notable actors. He took birth in Coorg of Karnataka. He was born to "K.S. Prasad", who was a customs officer. He was brought up in Kolkata of West Bengal. He was a tennis player at his University. He even got an acting diploma from Pune Film Institute.

After completing his graduation he went to Mumbai for trying his Bollywood luck. In the film “Cycle Kick”. This movie release showed delay in 2011. He wanted to grow his acting career and therefore moved to South India. In 2009 he got a chance to be part of the Telugu movie "Manorama." He gave a notable performance in this film. After this movie he resumed his Mumbai auditions. During those days, he got a call from “Ritu” in 2009 to play the leading role. After getting selected, he told that Shayamaprasad was able to see his skills from a model coordinator of Chennai. But he was not sure that he would be able to do the movie because Malayalam was one of the difficult languages. However, Shyam sir was very confident that he would be able to do role. Movie “Ritu” was one of the critical hits and made him win the best debut award.

After acting into movie "Ritu", he acted in the movie "Apoovaragam". “Apoorvaram” was a huge success and it was into cinema for more than 100 days. Even this film gave Nishan a household name due to the big commercial success. Then during February "EeAdutha Kaalathu" got released and he played the role of ‘Rustam’ in this. This movie acquired positive response from the audiences and for bold and realistic narration, it was considered to be a path breaker. Even its story threading style was very innovative.
