In a recent interview, Haasan recounted his days spent in Malayalam cinema, and how it transformed his career. Before entering Mollywood, Kamal Haasan was stuck in a creative loop, but the Malayalam cinema helped him come out of that slump and discover his identity.

In case you aren’t aware, Kamal Haasan was barely five years old when he made his film debut as a  child artist. He also worked in a Malayalam movie titled Kannum Karalum, which had released in 1962.
