Plot
Varghese Peter is a happy-go-lucky guy who has been spending his time as he wishes, although he got some good jobs. He has been waiting to get a high-profile job with lots of hope. Meanwhile, the tribal people protest for their ancestral land. As the people surrounding him pressurize, he takes of the constable job. Soon, he gets posted to the tribal area, where the people protest. Soon, he was drawn towards their protest and turned out to be the voice of the oppressed. Due to this, he gets stuck with various issues. How did he come out of those? Did the tribal people get justice? The rest of the story explains these.
Star Performance
Once again, Tovino proves that he can do any role. Maniyan from Ajayante Randam Moshanam was one of his best performances, so far. Now, Narivetta joins it. Suraj Venjaramoodu did a fine job, yet again. Cheran’s grey-shaded silent role is very impressive.
Analysis
The film takes time to establish the plot and characters. After Varghese Peter gets posted to the tribal area, the story takes it original speed. The director boldly projects how the government uses cops and how the people are oppressed. Though the first half has some unnecessary elements, including the love track, the second half pulls us completely into the story. The final thirty minutes are very gripping, and the performances are in full form in those final minutes. Jakes Bejoy’s BGM is a biggest support to the film. It elevates the emotional moments well. The visuals are decent, and the editing should’ve been better in the first half.
