Muthumani Somasundaran now known as Muthumani is a South Indian star, who mainly acts in Malayalam movies. She made her movie debut through Rasathanthram by Sathyan Anthikkad in 2006. She now performs original roles in Malayalam movies. Muthumani was born in the Ernakulam town of Kerala to Sherly Somasundaran and Somasundaran. They were working in the theatre field, which inspired her to join into the theatre shows. She studied at the St. Mary's Convent Girls High School in Ernakulam. She has acted like a child actress for All India Radio.

Muthumani finished her post graduation from the National University of Advanced Legal Studies. After finishing law, she employed as an advocate at the Kerala High Court in Ernakulam. R., who is currently serving as station head at Radio Mango.
