Alka Yagnik is a very popular playback singer of the Bollywood film industry. She was born on March 20, 1966. She has been working in the Hindi film industry for three decades. She had bagged seven Filmfare awards out of the thirty five nominations at the Filmfare awards. It was for the best playback singer award category. Her singing is quite beautiful and she was felicitated by many icons. 

She came to the Bollywood industry as a singer at her early age. This gave her a lot of experience and she groomed herself as a consistent and successful singer. Alka Yagnik's songs were listed more than 20 times in the “BBC's “Top 40 Bollywood Soundtracks of all time”. Alka Yagnik was born in Kolkata on 20 March, 1966 to the Gujarati-Hindu parents. She started her singing career at the age of six while she had sung the song for the All India Radio, Kolkata. 

She came to Mumbai at the age of 10 as a child singer. She had sung 2482 songs in 1114 films as of date. Alka Yagnik has a soothing voice that manifests the song even better. She is the fifth most successful and prominent singer of Bollywood cinema. Her career in Bollywood has been more than three decades and she had pulled out pretty good in the duet numbers. She is a classically trained singer who had profound knowledge in it. Alka Yagnik had won a lot of awards in the prominent ones like Zee Cine Awards, Star screen awards, Filmfare, IIFA awards, Bollywood movie awards, etc. Alka Yagnik had been highly rewarded for having won a lot of Filmfare awards and got the maximum number of nominations. 

In the hundred years of Hindi cinema function, Alka Yagnik's song “Taal Se Taal Mila” from the movie Taal was voted as the best song of the century. This had been done by Fever 104, , Hindustan Times and DesiMartini. She has been active in the Cinema industry since 1980.

Kavita Krishnamurthy is the female playback singer, who has sung maximum good songs with Kumar Sanu. She is a most versatile singer, who has amazing classical voice and perfectly trained. She is one among the few singers, who has versitality in singing. 

She was a gifted singer, who had won medals since her school days and she got trained by her aunt in Rabindra Sangeet too. It was her aunt, who met Hemant Kumar, the music composer and singer, and wanted Hemant Kumar to give Kavita a chance to record a song. 

It was then at age of nine, she got an opportunity to record a song with Lata Mangeshkar in Bengali. It was after a gap of many years, when Kavita was in St. Xaviers College in Mumbai for annual day function, Hemant Kumar’s daughter Ranu Mukherjee spotted her and she took her initiative to introduce again the singer Kavita to Hemant Kumar. Hemant was impressed by her grounding in music and gave her a break in live performances. Even noted playback singer Manna Dey acknowledged her versatility as a singer and employed her to sing jingles. 

Later on, Hema Malini’s mother Jaya Chakrabarty introduced this singer to the music director Laxmikant Pyarelal and the rest is a history. Her first Hindi film that became popular was for Pyaar Jhukta Nahin composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal, after which offers came pouring and she sang song for 1942-A Love story, Mr India, which made her very popular. 

Her number “Hawa Hawaii” in Mr India, is still popular with masses, but before getting a chance in Bollywood, she had also sung for Kannada films too. Kavitha established herself as a leading playback singer in 1990s and had worked with composers like A R Rahman, Annu Malik, Jatin Shah and others. 

She married violinist L. Subramaniam. She also did popular devotional and ghazal albums too. For her contribution to Indian film music, she received Padmashri award from Indian government.

Lata Mangeshkar, the veteran playback singer, had formal training in music from her father. Her father ran a theater company in Mumbai, where she began to learn music with her father's grudging approval, and with whom she also sang a song. As her father was a conservative man, film music was not appreciated at her home. After the theater company was auctioned, her father died, and she assumed the financial responsibility by becoming an actress, first in Marathi and later in Hindi cinema, but in acting, she did not click. Later she surprised everyone with one of her solo number (Aayega Aanewaala) from the movie Mahal released in 1949. The song was screened on Madhubala. Finally, Lata became a singing star overnight. 

Later on, Lata Mangeshkar had lent her beautiful voice to actresses for generations -- from Nargis and Mala Sinha to Hema Malini and Madhuri Dixit. And the ladies on the screen too did ample justice to her songs. As a popular singer, she also had met many difficulties with other composers, singers and even film makers. Her rifts with Mohammad Rafi, "over loyalties" and Raj Kapoor, when he changed the composers for "Satyam Shivam Sundaram" is well known. Above all, she never lent her voice for O P Nayyar. 

When she used to record Bengali songs, she learned the exact pronunciation from Salil Chowdhury. Earlier, when Dilip Kumar criticized Lata for her pronunciation in Urdu, she made it a point to learn Urdu with flawless diction. Fortunately, her training in classical music and her disciplined voice started to fetch her playback assignments; she became the nightingale of India. 

She is famous for lilting melodies like "'Aaja Re Pardesi" ( Madhumati), "Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya" ( Mughal-e-Azam)," Chalte Chalte" ( Pakeezha), "Lag Ja Gale" ( Woh Kaun Thi), "Aaj Phir Jine Ki Tamanna Hai" (Guide), and "Satyam Shivam Sundaram." She has sung all kinds of songs in her long career, including romantic numbers (Tu Jahan Jahan Chalega), cabaret numbers (Aa Jane Jaa), and even naughty ones( Bahon Mein Chale Aao). 

Lata Mangeshkar was born on the 29th of September 1928 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. Her first guru was her father. With more than 26,000 songs that she had sung in all Indian languages, her name exists in the Guinness World Records.

Lata Mangeshkar impressed the South Indian fans with her songs in the super hit Maine Pyaar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hain Koun. These movies made a strong impression on Bollywood among South Indian fans. Her songs with "S P Balasubrahmanyam" echoed everywhere in the South. Although she made her South debut in 1956 with the Tamil song, Enthan Kannalan, her songs in the 80s composed by "Ilaiyaraaja" gained massive attention. The legendary singer was affected with coronavirus in January 2022 and had been getting treatment for the same at a private hospital in Mumbai. Even after getting treatment in all the possible ways, her body couldn't recuperate. On 6^th February 2022, Lata Ji left for the eternal world after 28 days of treatment. Fondly called Lata Di, she still surprises everyone with a career span of more than 6 decades. Started her career in the mid-40s, Lata Di had sung thousands and thousands of songs in almost all the Indian languages and foreign languages! She left a void in the Indian film industry, and there is nothing to deny it!

Pia Benegal is a costume designer who has created costumes for more than 20 years. She has created designs for theatre, television, and film. She has a knack for realistic fiction and historical drama that is authentic. Her most recent endeavor is a film called ‘MUJIB: The Making of a Nation’ which is based on Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Aligarh, Bose the Forgotten Hero, Mammo, Zubeidaa, Suraj Ka Satwan Ghoda, Hari Bhari, Welcome to Sajjanpur, Sardari Begum, Dil Se, Well Done Abba, English August, Drohkaal, Bombay Boys, and 5 Rupiya are a few other notable films for which she has created costumes.

Karisma Kapoor is a well known face from the family of the Kapoors. She is the daughter of Randhir Kapoor and Babita and the elder sister of Kareena Kapoor Khan. She was born in the year 1974 in Mumbai. She was invited to act in the Hindi movies at an early age of 17. After completing her schooling, this young artist stepped towards the acting field with lots of hope to conquer the hearts of the Indian fans. She visited Sophia College, only for a few months. Her debut movie was Prem Qaidi in the year 1991. Her grand success movie came in the form of Raja Hindustani with Aamir Khan. This movie presented her with the Filmfare Award for the Best Actress. 1997 was the best year in her career, as she received the National Award for the Best Supporting Actress in the movie Dil To pagal Hai. Dil To Pagal Hai was a romantic movie with big star pack such as Shahrukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Akshay Kumar. Zubeidaa was one of the best movies in her career and she was lauded well by the critics for her performance in that movie. Dangerous Ishq in 2011 was her latest performance in the films. Karisma got married with the businessman Sanjay Kapur in 2003. This couple has two children. Karisma and Sanjay got separated in a few years and they got divorced in 2014. She has been acting as the ambassador of Pinkathon 2012, which was formed to create an awareness of Breast Cancer. She has also acted in various advertisements such as Kellogg's, Danone, Crescent Lawn and Admix Retail. She has also worked with the popular fashion designers and participated in many Ramp shows. She has been the judge for the dance shows in the television namely, Nach Baliye 4 and Hans Baliye.

Farida Jalal is a veteran film and television actress from India. She was born on March 14, 1949 at New Delhi. Farida was known for doing comedic roles but she also laid her hands to doing lead and supporting roles in more than 100 Bollywood films and has been part of the television industry for quite a long time. The actress started her career in 1960’s after winning the Filmfare’s United Film Producers Talent Hunt. She was luckily selected as finalists, together with Bollywood producer and actor, Rajesh Khanna. Farida got a film offer for the first time to do the film, Taqdeer which was offered by Tarachand Barjatya who is one of the audiences at that time. She gained her popularity after essaying a supporting role in the top-grossing romantic drama film, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge in 1995. This film is a blockbuster hit that earns a total of ?122 Crore in India and abroad. Farida also got the Best Supporting Actress Award in Filmfare Awards for her marvelous role as Lajjo Singh, the mother of Simran (played by Kajol).

Initially, Farida usually bagged the role of a sister or a scorned fiancée of the lead actors but she never bag the female lead role. She was critically acclaimed for her role as Alka Sharma, the mentally ill fiancée of Raj (played by Rishi Kapoor) in the Bollywood film, Bobby in year 1973 which was directed by Ram Kapoor. In the 80’s, she progressively turned her roles into an aunt, nani or a mother. She was notable for her role as Renu, the girlfriend of Arun (played by Rajesh Khanna) in Shakti Samanta’s film, Aradhana from which she sang the song, Bagon Me Bahar Hai, Kaliyon Pe Nikhar Hai. When she stayed in Bangalore from 1983 to 1990, she took a hiatus on acting. In 1990s, she acted in various blockbuster films in India such as Dil To Pagal Hai, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai and a lot more. The actress finally bags the lead role in Shyam Benegal’s film, Mammo in 1995. This film received the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi and Farida got the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Performance. She also received the Best Supporting Actress Nomination for acting as the Ravi Khanna’s (played by Amitabh Bachchan) handicapped sister in the Hindi crime film, Majboor. Farida acted as the female lead in the film, Jeevan Rekha. Farida also received the Filmfare’s Best Supporting Award from the films, Paras and Henna. She got the Best Actress Award in the Harlem International Film Festival through the English Independent film, A Gran Plan in year 2012. The film was directed by Sangeeta Nambiar and stars Oliver Kennett. It was also screened in different Film Festivals in 2012.

Besides her long journey in the silver screen, the actress also made a name in the small screen industry. She has been part of the television serials like Dekh Bhai Dekh, Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi, Balika Vadhu and more. She was starred on SAB TV’s comedy serial, Ammaji Ki Galli and in the fantasy sitcom, Shararat – Thoda Jaadu, Thodi Nazaakat which was aired on Star Plus and later, it was re-aired many  times on various channels. She also hosted Star Yaar Kalakaar, Star Parivar Awards and the 50th Filmfare Awards together with Saif Ali Khan and Sonali Bendre.

Farida got married to her late husband, Tabrez Barmavar from Bhatkal in November 1978. When she settled in Bangalore from 1983 to 1990, she live with her husband and son, Yaseen since her husband is running a soap factory business there.

Farida Jalal was born on 14th March 1949 in New Delhi. She is 5’ 1” tall. She met Tabrez Barmavar on the sets of Jeevan Rekha and fell in love with him during the shooting of the film. They got married in 1978. As she was not getting many film offers after marriage, they moved to Bangalore where her husband had a soap factory business. Unfortunately, he died in 2003. Lillete Dubey is an Indian theater personality who has also featured in various Bollywood and British films. She was born in Pune to Govind and Leela Kiswani. Her father named her Lillete as a faux-French derivation of her mother’s name Leela, and she never had an affinity for her name during her childhood. She attended a Parsi boarding school, “Rustoms” and also went on to change various schools due to her engineer-fathers regional postings.

Smriti Mishra, a Bollywood actress with an expressive face and ravishing features, fastened the heartbeats of the people in the industry through films like Sardari Begum and Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin.  Surekha Sikri is known for her character as Kalyani Devi in Balika Vadhu, aired on Star Plus, a top-rated TV show, especially among homemakers; even though she played a negative role and was one of those characters who made the life of the lead character miserable, she is loved by almost everyone who watch the show; the reason was her acting which gave a new life to the character. Art is what ran through her veins. Surekha Sikri studied in Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, and after that she graduated from National School of Drama (1968),she worked with the NSD Repertory Company for over a decade until she figured out that she needed to pursue her dream and moved to Mumbai.

Shyam Benegal is a renowned Indian director and screenwriter. He created, what is today referred to as ‘middle cinema’. His work has widely received critical acclaim in India as well as in the International Film Circuit. He was born on 14 December 1934 in Secunderabad. He is a cousin of Guru Dutt. His paternal grandmother and Guru Dutt’s maternal grandmother were sisters. His career began in advertising in the year 1959. He was initially a copywriter. Over the years, he slowly rose to the position of a creative head. He directed over 900 advertisements before focusing his faculties on film-making. Benegal is known for films like Ankur, Nishant, Manthan and Bhumika, which were released in 1973, 1975, 1976 and 1977 respectively. His films and documentaries have been set in realistic contemporary scenarios and primarily revolve around topics like exploitation, rural empowerment, and social change. He has worked with actors like Naseeruddin Shah, Om Puri, Amrish Puri, Shabana Azmi and Smita Patil.

Aseem Sinha (also known as Asim Sinha) is an Indian Editor and Director. He completed his training as an editor in 1989 from the Film and Television Institute, Pune. His first flick as an independent editor was Shyam Benegal’s Mammo. He is known for his work in movies like Zubeida, Sardari Begum, Punkuj Parashar’s Beneras, Mehreen Jabbar’s Ramchand Pakistani, Kalpana Lajmi’s Darmiyanan, Shyam Benegal's Well Done Abba, Shyam Benegal's Welcome to Sajjanpur, A. K. Bir’s The Last Vision and Antardwannd.

Farouq ttonsey is a veteran producer of the Hindi Film Industry. He has produced only one film till now which is Zubeidaa. The film released in the year 2001. The picture was a super duper hit and did very well at the box office. After this movie, he has also worked with the movies namely, Tehzaab in the year 2003, and Kaminey in the year 2009. In both the pictures; Tehzaab and Kaminey, he received some special thanks from the working committee of the picture. Farouq has excellent interactive skills and has a very creative mind, which was seen in the film Zubeidaa. Zubeidaa is a 2001 Indian movie which is a direction of Shyam Benegal and is written by Khalid Mohammed. It features Rekha, Karishma Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee, Surekha Sikri, Rajit Kapoor, Lillete Dubey, Amrish Puri, Farida Jalal, and Shakti Kapoor.

Javed Siddiqui is a well-known and renowned Indian screenplay writer, dialogue writer, and play writer. Javed is known for his predominant contributions in the Hindi and Urdu dialects. Javed is one of the most respected writers in the industry. Siddiqui was born on the 13th of January in the year 1942. Born in a family of freedom fighters, Javed feels extremely blessed. Javed has done his schooling from the Hamid High School. He did his graduation from Rampur. Javed specialized in Urdu literature. After that, he moved to Mumbai in the year 1959. Javed has also worked for the Urdu dailies like Inquilaab and Khilafat Daily. Siddiqui has also led as the owner of a newspaper named Urdu Reporter. In 1977, Javed stepped into the industry as a dialogue industry with Satyajeet Ray’s movie Shatranj Ke Khiladi.

Rajan Kothari was a well-established Cinematographer. He brought life to a scene through his Camera. He did not limit his talent by being only a Cameraman. Rajan Kothari also learned the ropes of Direction and became one. Rajan Kothari was born in a trader's family that sold oilseeds and cotton. His grandfather faced loss in the business and hence Rajan’s father was forced to take another job to save his family from poverty.

A. R. Rahman is a Legendary Music Composer, prominently known for his rocking music for the movie “The Slumdog Millionaire”. He had won a couple of Oscars for this album and made India proud.  Allah-Rakha Rahman’s birth name is A.S.Dileep Kumar. He was born on January 6th, 1967 in Chennai. His music journey had begun at the age of 4 when he learned piano. At the age of 11, he joined the Maestro Ilayaraja's troupe as a Keyboard player. He made his debut as a composer with the legendary film-maker G.R.Maniratnam’s film “Roja” which came out in 1992. Some of his popular music albums were for the movies like Rangeela, Bombay, Dil Se and Lagaan: Once upon a time in India.

Javed Akhtar is an Indian poet, lyricist, film scriptwriter from Bellwood. He is best known for teaming up with Salim Khan. Javed Akhtar came to recognition as a scriptwriter duo of Salim-Javed. Salim-Javed was instrumental in making of Amitabh Bachchan the superstar and 'angry young' image in Indian cinema, While Salim had ideated stories, Javed used to write the dialogues. Javed Saab used to write in Urdu, which was written in Hindi by some assistant writers. In his initial days, Javed was an assistant to Urdu writer and film lyricist Kaifi Azmi. Later, he married Kaifi Azmi’s daughter, Shabana Azmi, after divorcing his first wife, Honey Irani. Javed had married Honey Iran while he met her during the making of Seeta Aur Geeta.

Sukhwinder Singh, an asset to the Bollywood Music Industry, was born on 18th July 1971. He is a playback singer, who is quite active from the year 1992 until the present. There are a huge number of his fan followers, and he is gifted with an incredible voice. Apart from any element in any aspect of film making, songs sung by him made a phenomenal difference in its success. He has sung some outstanding numbers in the Bollywood film industry in the late nineties.

Ashwyn Balsaver is an Indian sound engineer who works predominantly in the Hindi film industry. He is known for Prahaar: The Final Attack (1991), Zubeidaa (2001), and Welcome to Sajjanpur (2008). His other films are “Bharat Ek Khoj” TV Series (1988-1989), Rudaali (1993), Mammo (1994), Oh Darling Yeh Hai India (1995), Tarpan (The Absolution) in 1995, The Making of the Mahatma (1996), Sardari Begum (1996), Hari-Bhari (2000), and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero (2005). Ashwyn Balsaver won the Best Sound Recording Award (Technical Award) for Zubeidaa at the Screen Awards, India, in 2002. He did the sound recording, editing, and designing for more than ten movies.

Hitendra Ghosh is an Indian sound designer who works predominately in the Hindi film industry. He is best known for his works in movies such as Swades, Jungle, and Rang De Basanti. Hitendra Ghosh is a two-time winner of a national award for Best Audiography for the films Ek Pal (1985) and Game (2011) and won the National award for Best Sound Recording for the movie Junoon in 1978.

Samir Chanda was a popular Indian director and production designer, who was born in 1957. He worked in the Indian cinema industry, including Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, and Bengali. He was well-known for his work in movies like Yoddha (1992), Dil Se (1998), Omkara (2006), Rang De Basanti (2006), Guru (2007), and Raavan (2010).

Vikram Gaikwad is an Indian makeup artist. He has worked in several movies like including Bollywood as well as other regional cinemas. He has won the National Film Award for best makeup artist twice for the Bengali film Moner Manush in 2010, also for his work and creativity in the Marathi film Balghandharva.

Born on 23 April 1969, Manoj Bajpai is first a Bollywood actor, though he has acted in a couple of southern films. He has been appreciated by several critics for his good performances. His noteworthy performances were in the films Bandit Queen, Pinjar, Aks, Satya and Gangs of Wasseypur. He has got various Filmfare awards and also many National awards.

Manoj Bajpai is a graduate in history. Before entering into acting Manoj was a teacher. He tried his luck in theater, but was rejected four times. Later, he worked in a theater Barry’s Drama School. His acting career started with a serial in Doordarshan. Later he performed in a minute role in Dastak . He was the male lead in the film Dil Pe Mat Le Yar and went on to act in small roles in Bandit Queen, Droh and Kaal. Then it was Satya that helped him reach stardom. His acting skills gained wide recognition; he was credited with several awards for this role. In this film he acted as a gangster. He also received various awards for Aks. Shool, Daud, Zubeidaa, Pinjar, Road etc. were some the films he acted. His Telugu film Happy was also a film in which he gained recognition.

Manoj has often portrayed offbeat roles and he was widely appreciated for that. His character in the film Rajneeti also received praise and actress Katrina Kaif who also acted in the film explicitly expressed her respect for him by touching his feet. Gangs of Wasseypur is another important film in his career wherein he received accolades for his performance.

Manoj Bajpai is motivated by a couple of Marathi films and he frankly admitted that.

On the personal front, Bajpai is wedded to Shabana Raza, better known as Neha in Bollywood. If one remembers she had acted in the films Fiza and Kareeb.

Amrish Lal Puri was born on 22nd June, 1932 in Punjab. He was a popular Bollywood actor and an artist who was known for his ideal performance in the Indian cinema. He was apparently known for his playwrights namely Satyadev Dubey, and Girish Karnad. Most importantly he is known for his negative roles in Bollywood, and also in other Indian and International movies. A versatile actor who has endeared Indian television and movie viewers with his acting skills as a comedian, a supporting actor, and as a villain too. Harish Patel is a veteran actor who started his acting career at very early age of seven as he worked in the grand television serial Ramayana produced by Ramanand Sagar. It was aired on DD National News Channel in the year 1987. During the same time, he also appeared on various episodes of another popular Hindi television serial Malgudi Days. Later on, Harish Patel joined Indian National Theatre and worked a lot as a theatre artist. Indian theatre director Sara Prabhu and Harish Patel enjoyed a great run of success on Indian theatre.

Parzan Dastur is a very famous actor and model in the Indian media and drama. He is not working from today. In fact, he started working in Indian dramas, and commercials,when he was a child. Therefore, we can say that, he made his debut in the film industry as child. He was born on 2nd November in 1991. Many Indians remember him as a cute kid who appeared in the advertisement of Dhara. Parzan gave his appearance as a very cute Sikh kid in the movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Although in this movie, he played the character of a child who cannot speak but in spite of this, he had won the hearts of people and after that he, got signed in other movies as well based on this character. Rahul Singh is a popular Indian model and actor, born and raised up in Udaipur, India. He is a Thakur with a background of Jagirdari and the son of the popular Hindi poet, Dr Prabha Thakur. However, his mother didn’t find good opportunities in Udaipur so they shifted to Mumbai with his father. He attended Silver Beach High School and he was a complete brat. He do not listen and would want to write love letters instead of studying so his father sent him back to Rajasthan. From there, he studied at Mayo College in Ajmer. When he reached the Class XII, he came back to Mumbai and graduated at St. Xavier’s College where he started writing and working on theatre. During those times, his parents returned to Udaipur. His dad already owned a hotel there while his mom entered politics. Prabha became a Parliament member and the President of the All India Mahila Congress. After graduating college, Rahul went to England and attended the Royal Academy of Arts for 3-years and at the same time, he also works in the British Film Institute (BFI). When he came back, he did some modeling and worked with Atul Kasbekar where he unexpectedly donned his first ad film with Abhinay Deo.

He got his first acting break when he was cast as Raja Digvijay Singh on Shyam Benegal’s Zubeidaa in 2001. By coincidence, Deo is also directing the drama series, 24 where he was cast as Vikrant Maurya, the husband of Divya (played by Shivani Tanksale). Deo also cast him in the clack comedy film, Delhi Belly in 2011.

Rahul has done more than 30 films including Yaadein, Darna Mana Hai, Kisna: The Warrior Poet, Mumbai Godfather, Family: Ties of Blood, Kya Love Story Hai, Firaaq, Well Done Abba, Jail, Tere Bin Laden, Bheja Fry 2, Chaar Din Ki Chandni, Jal, Rush, Khiladi 786, Jayanta Bhai Ki Luv Story and more.

Aside from the television series 24, he also appeared in Captain Vyom and Taccuino Indiano. He was also known for his portrayal as Brij Bhushan Pandey in the television series, Sapno Ke Bhanwar Mein on Life OK. Besides acting, he wrote the dialogue for the Bollywood films, Kaante by Sanjay Gupta and Kachchi Sadak by Sanjay D Singh. Rahul also wrote the dialogues for Kevin Spacey film under the direction of Kaizad Gustad and various screenplays under the direction of Navdeep Singh and Tigmanshu Dhulia.

Ravi Jhankal is an experienced Indian stage, television & film personality, who is best known for his appearances in the movies of veteran director ‘Shyam Benegal’. He is remembered playing multiple characters in the popular television series of 90’s, ‘The Discovery of India’, which was based on the book of the same name, written by Late Mr. Jawahar Lal Nehru.

Personal life: Shakti Kapoor was born in Delhi, India as Sunil Kapoor. He was the second child among the four children of his parents Mr. Sikanderlal Kapoor and Ms. Susheela Kapoor. He resided in Karol Bhag, Delhi. He married Shivangi kohlapure (Padmini kohlapurei’s elder sister) in the year 1982. He has two children, a son Siddhant Kapoor and a daughter Shraddha Kapoor. Career: Shakti Kapoor was famous because of his mischievous activities in his early childhood. He was passionate about cricket, and it also won him admission in Kirori Mal College, Delhi University. After graduation, Shakti took to modelling. He tried his luck into acting and this is how he received the opportunity to be a student of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). He learned acting there, and this was the beginning of his career. He entered into Bollywood by making a debut in the film ’Do Jasoos’ (1975). Firoz Khan offered him a chance to act in Vikram Singh's Qurbani (1980) and it turned out to be a blockbuster. His career took a slow start but gradually he became a superstar. He acted as a villain in the film ‘Rocky’ and this marked the birth of Shakti Kapoor.
