Richa Sharma, born August 29 1980 in Faridabad, is a play back singer in Bollywood. Taught under the guidance of PanditAskaran Sharma, she has phenomenal vocal abilities. Her voice can touch the deepest areas of your heart and can punch a hole in your sole. She is a versatile singer, capable of singing Punjabi, Rajasthani and even ghazals. And for such an amazing music education, she has sacrificed her education, for a dream of singing for the Silver screen.
She did covers and bhajans for in her early career in Mumbai. Her debut in Bollywood was “Salma Pe Dil Aa Gaya” in 1996. But her career took a steep climb when she sang for A.R Rahman in Taal in 1999. Since then, the vocalist has sung for numerous films and also released her albums in Hindi, Punjabi and Rajasthani.

In 2015, she has been awarded the Live Quotient Award, and she is all smiles about it. For her future, she is relying less on Bollywood hits and more on her own work and single albums.
