This film was supposed to be Rajesh Khanna’s comeback film where a man enters a widow’s life claiming to be her husband.

Amritlal Chopra (Rajesh Khanna) is a Bangkok-based entrepreneur who marries a very much younger lady, Beena ( Laila Khan). He fails to develop any intimate relation with her because he suffers from Asthma.

Due to the lack of physical satisfaction from her relation, Beena goes out for physical intimacy and gets involved with her chauffeur, Raj (Sahib Chopra).

She plots her husband’s death and makes it look like an accidental one only to move forward in life with Raj. But what happens when a man who resembles her late husband enters her life and claims to be Amritlal himself?

The only question that comes to the mind is why did Rajesh Khanna choose this movie as his comeback? Why after working in landmark films like Anand, Bawarchi, Namak Haraam to name a few, the original and first superstar of Bollywood had to work in a movie like Wafa: A Deadly Love Story.

Star Performances

Even though this film starred the superstar Rajesh Khanna, his avatar and performance failed to impress anyone and garner any positive review. The other actors in the movie made absolutely no difference to the bad plot, because if Rajesh Khanna couldn’t do anything, nobody could.

What’s There?

1. Not much. Nothing about the film seems to impress the audience, even a bit.

What’s not there?

1. Rajesh Khanna’s magic.

2. A decent, logical plot that makes sense.

Well, if you are a fan of Rajesh Khanna, please don’t watch this movie, it will ruin his image in your mind forever.
