Analysis

We have seen a lot of films with a message in the recent times. But, this movie has really come out with a real message. The film deals with the problems faced by the kids including the disabilities in studies, body shaming and even kleptomania. The movie also comes with the environmental message to save the nature that helps the world to survive. Manika Sharma has scripted the story well. We should appreciate Manika to have moved the film in a non-preachy way.

What’s There?

  • Beautiful messages for all ages and mainly it is not told in a preachy way
  • Excellent cinematography
  • Cameo work of Bobby Darling is a surprise element in the film

What’s Not There?

  • A lot of animation work involved, which makes us feel artificial

Verdict

The Wishing Tree is a message oriented film with graphical works. It could be watched once!
