Makarand Deshpande is an Indian actor and director who makes films predominantly in Hindi and Marathi. He is popular for playing pivotal supportive roles in many movies like Jungle, Sarfarosh, etc. He has directed more than five films and written 35 full-length plays and owns a theatre company in the name of ‘Ansh’.
He is noted for his unconventional and eccentric personality. He often turns heads with his weird outfits and hairdos. He is currently based in Vile Parle, Mumbai. At the age of 48, he is proactive and exhibits enthusiasm in making movies and plays and essays versatile roles in movies like wayfarers and drunkards. His directorial venture has resulted in quite a few famous movies like ‘Hanan’ in 2004, ‘Danav’ in 2003, ‘Shahrukh Bola Khoobsurat Hai’ in 2010 and ‘
Sona Spa’ in 2013.

Dandupalya’ and ‘No. 66 Madhura Bus’ that released in 2012.
