Star Performance

Ishan Khattar, the debutant delivers his best from all the angles. Ishan feels comforted by his role and impresses. Malavika Mohanan, who plays Tara, is just stunning. Her emotions are flawless. GV Sharada, the veteran actress, doesn’t need any criticism and just makes the audience forget that it is a movie. Tannishtha had also done what is expected of her.

Majid Majidi should be appreciated for choosing this Indian script. The director made no mistakes and is perfect in narration and execution. He depicted not only the financial crisis in the city but also the emotions of the people. The film is technically sound. But, Rahman’s BGM didn’t impress much. The cast selection is really appreciable.

What’s There?

  • Excellent performances by the lead stars
  • Beautiful narration and execution by Majid
  • Visuals are wonderful; Cinematography receives appreciation

What’s Not There?

  • Rahman’s BGM didn’t impress much
  • The subject seems to be repetitive

Although the script about the poverty and emotions are not new to Indian directors and the audiences, it is certainly new to the foreign director, Majid. Watch the film in theaters and you will see something exciting beyond the clouds
