Plot
Jay is passionate about music. His father doesn’t support him in pursuing his passion, as he feels that music had already spoiled his family. Jay falls for Sophia, a rich girl in his college. But, Sofia’s father doesn’t want his daughter to get married to someone who hadn’t settled in his life, although he loves Jay’s music. He challenges Jay to compose 100 songs and then he would get him married to his daughter. Jay moves to Shillong to get this done. He meets a jazz singer, who ties him up with her voice. What happens next? Did Jay complete his task to marry Sophia or ended up with some other decision? The rest of the film deals with it.
Star Performance
Ehan Bhat plays his role sincerely and impresses the audience. He looks good too. Edilsy Vargas didn’t have much to do but had done what is required for her role. Manisha Koirala, Tenzin Dalha, Lisa Ray and Ranjit Barot are impressive with their performances.
Analysis
The story is neatly written and the stars are rightly picked. The story deals with various elements, including betrayal, racism, etc. The narration is not much impressive. The cinematography is neat and the production design suits the film’s mood well. The music composition by Rahman is perfect and he pulls the audience with his music. The combination scenes of Ehan Bhat and Tenzin Dalha are better than that of Ehan Bhat and Edilsy Vargas.

Verdict
Although there are a few good performances and music, the weak narration is the biggest flaw. However, the film is a good visual treat and for music lovers, it is a big musical feast.
