Preetisheel Singh Dsouza is a renowned makeup artist and hairdresser. She was born on 31st August 1983 in a small village, Pathankot, Punjab in India. She had her graduation degree in electrical engineering from Punjab. Preetisheel spent nearly five years working in a private job as an engineer. After leaving the job, she began her passion for makeup & makeovers. She joined the Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles and learned how to do prosthetic makeup. She can do both makeup and prosthetic art on celebrities and human bodies. Preetisheel has worked for PAN India: Films, web series, TVCs & music videos. She has worked for over ten years in the Bollywood, Telugu, Malayalam, and Tamil film industries.

Preetisheel Singh is a famous make-up artist of the Bollywood industry. Specializing in prosthetic make-up, she gave us proof of her exquisite work in films such as Bajiroa Mastani, Haider, and Brothers. Preetisheel Singh was born and brought up in Pathankot. She did her schooling at the St Joseph’s Convent school and passed with flying colors. Preetisheel then moved to Dalhousie, whereby she studied at the Sacred Heart High college in Dalhousie. Afterward she decided to pursue her undergraduate in Punjab.
Preetisheel Singh started her Bachelor in Technology in Instrumentation and Electronics at the Adesh Institute of Engineering and Technology in Faridkot Punjab. Even if Preetisheel Sigh had her mind in engineering her heart was always in make-up. But at that time leaving her degree to be a make-up artist was not reasonable and therefore she went ahead in the field of technology. After her graduation, Preetisheel Singh shifted to New Delhi and started her career as a software engineer in the IT industry. After working for one year, her company, IT Company (TCS) sent her to The United States for three years. Her passion for makeup grew, and with the opportunity of being in a big country regarding research on make-up,
Preetisheel Singh took up a makeup and prosthetics course from Los Angeles. Being in Los Angeles for three years, Preetisheel Singh came back to India. Having just completed the course she had the zeal in her to implement Prosthetics in India. After coming back, she started looking for production houses. After a couple of struggling months, Preetisheel Singh met the director Singh Pannu. He allowed her to prove her work and her abilities. Preetisheel Singh had to be on shoot location at three in the morning for shooting at seven. After her success in Nanak Shah Fakir, Preetisheel Singh gained popularity. She then worked for Gayal, Haider, Brothers, Talwar and more. Till far her most challenging work was for Bajiroa Mastani.
Being very dedicated to her passion, Preetisheel Singh does a lot of research for each character by reading the scripts, discussing the plot and expectancy with each director. Her latest work was for Shivaay, whereby she designed the looks such as a lot of blood, cut, scars and bruises in the entire movie. She also contracted for Rangoon and was the brain behind the main protagonists’ look of the Second World War backdrop. Preetisheel also performed for Parched whereby she worked on the traditional look of women in the rural places of Gujarat by portraying a lot of bruising and tattoos on their forehead, neck. Her next work will be Boney Kapoor’s film titled Mom, where Sridevi takes up the lead role.
