Bhushan Gavas is a native of Mumbai, Maharashtra. He possesses a degree in B.Com in photography (2012). During the initial days of his career, Bhushan Gavas had to have some odd jobs like Tele-calling and being an Amazon delivery boy. One day, he received a call from his friend, and this brought a huge change in Bhushan's life. His friend Ketan Naik informed him that a short film was going to be televised soon, and Bhushan decided to be the film's photography director. It was the first time when Bhushan Gavas got the chance to work as a photographer officially.

Then, he was caught by Aman Bhakari, the famous movie photographer, who appointed Bhushan Gavas as the leading photographer for the movie Kabir Singh. Bhushan Gavas learned many things from Aman Bhakari, and he interned under him. During that time, Bhushan Gavas helped in the making of the Hotstar Webseries, 1962: The War In The Hills. Soon, he started getting more projects, and this marked the beginning of regular work for Bhushan Gavas.
