'Payal Dev' is an Indian playback singer, who made her debut song entitled Ab Tojhe Jaane Na Dungi in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic historical romance film, Bajirao Mastani. Payal was born on February 26, 1989, and started training under her mother’s guidance, a classical singer. She had mastery on vocal exercises and graduated with a degree in Music.  

At 17, she went to Mumbai to pursue her dream and started her journey by working on brand adfilm jingles, documentaries, and corporate songs. Her first Bollywood break came through the 2016 Hindi horror adult comedy film, Great Grand Masti, which became a runaway hit. She also became popular for crooning music for films like Mai (2013), Satya 2 (2013), Veerappan (2016), 1920 London (2016), and Freaky Ali (2016). She recorded songs for the Bengali film, Haripada Bandwala, and the Punjabi flick, Sajna Ve Sajna. This 2017, she recorded the song, Swachch Bharat Ho Hamara for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a social awareness campaign.

She also sang Haseeno Ka Deewana for Hrithik Roshan’s 2017 Hindi crime thriller film, Kaabil, which tops the chart for a few weeks. Payal has also rendered background music for one of the most popular documentaries entitled India’s Daughter by Krsna Solo.
