Dr C Vijayabaskar, the Health Minister of Tamilnadu, stated in his speech that when a corona infected person is dead, his/ her body will be wrapped up properly and after spraying the disinfectants, it will be buried or cremated. The people, who deal with the cremation or burial, will also be provided with enough protection from the virus, added Vijayabaskar. He also stated that as they follow the right procedure, the virus will not spread from the body of the corona infected person, when buried or cremated. The fumes or the dust from the cremation will not cause infection, said Vijayabaskar.
He posted on his Twitter, “Refusal of burial space for anyone who succumbs to #COVID19 will not b tolerated by d #TNGovt. It’s so disheartening to see people’s attitude towards #FrontLineHeroes who sacrifice their life in saving people.Hon’ble CM strictly warns action against deliberate behaviour like this.”
