The Supreme Court has to deal with thousands and thousands of cases and some cases are filed as a PIL and are requested for an emergency hearing. A person named Arjan Gopal filed a case in the Supreme Court, to stop the manufacture and sale of the firecrackers all over India. The case came to the hearing today and the Supreme Court dismissed the case and stated that the manufacturing and the sales couldn’t be banned. Many families are running it as a business and they earn only during the festive season. In Tamilnadu, we have Sivakasi, popular for the fireworks business. Although some accidents happen as and when asking for a ban is not a sensible thought. It is the duty of the manufacturers, to care about the security of their workers, who involve in the making process.
