play the leads in the film alongside Vijay. In Tamil Nadu, the film collected 66.97 crore. in the other states of India, it made a total collection of 33.85 crore whereas 42.70 crore in the overseas. It was ranked 8 in the UK box office in just the first week of its release in the cinemas. The director has already started working on the script for Theri 2. The story will revolve around the life of Vijay and his daughter, Divya. The sequel will surely make an equally greater impact in the industry and in the foreign industry.
