Plot
Senga, an elderly lady in the mountain village, uses some medicinal herbs to cure diseases. She follows her ancestors’ way of treating various diseases. She has a thatched box, which is considered holy. When a wealthy person from the city visits the village, he collapses suddenly and is taken to Senga for treatment. After her treatment with herbs, he is completely cured and returns to his place. Following this, Senga’s treatment became popular and people were trying to acquire her thatched box. What happened to Senga and her box? The rest of the story reveals the answer to the question.
Star Performance
Mathamma’s performance as Senga is appreciable. Ashwini plays Sembi. Among the supporting characters, her performance is note-worthy. All the actors have performed well, getting in the intense of the character they portrayed.
Analysis
The film speaks about the fight between modern science and the ancient treatment methods devised by our ancestors. The cast selection is pretty decent, and the stars outperformed. The cinematography Rajkumar Periyasamy is outstanding and the editing is pretty decent. The music composition by Sebastian Sathish is compelling. Though the performances and the story are good, if the screenplay had more gripping sequences, it would have projected the script.
