The question starts with, why he picks this genre?

I always wanted to explore new styles, Right from my debut film ' Naanayam Click to look into! >> Read More... ' – the first proper heist story and then ' Naaigal Jaakirathai Click to look into! >> Read More... ' where a dog plays a full-fledged role in the movie. While Kollywood is dipped in Horror genre, I questioned why not to pick 'Zombie – Genre'? Since my childhood, I love to watch Zombie films, which narrates the right color of the movie without the language barrier. I believe, this will work out here, and 'Miruthan' will attract the audience from all the languages.

What about casting Jayam Ravi and Lakshmi Menon to 'Miruthan?’

Jayam Ravi chooses his scripts based on the director's narration, and he also has a great understanding of genres. Even though several influential directors approached him, I'm happy that he has chosen me. Though I cannot unveil much on his character in the film, Jayam Ravi will sport, a new appeal in the movie. Lakshmi Menon has been chosen completely, based on the story angle. She is the ideal choice for the character, and I believed that she will deliver.

'Miruthan' is a horror – science film and we have a well-packed action portions and enough humor in it.

Almost completing 90% of shooting, Miruthan is confirmed to release on Pongal 2016. Despite the fact that it is a commercial film, the makers have plans to take it to the International film festivals.
