The rain and flood have created severe losses for the people of Chennai and Cuddalore. Many people volunteered along with the private organizations and rescued the victims of the flood. ” honored the people, who served the victims. Ilayaraja said that the real character of the people, who volunteered is brought out by the rain. He also said if we all have showed this tendency, right from the beginning, the rain and flood might not have attacked us. He said, “Nature is the servant of God. God told the rain to go down to the earth and make the people cultured. That is why the kind nature of the people is revealed out. Feeling is the real thing in our life. I won’t talk in public places. But, I don’t know, why I went out during the flood and met the people? Feeling is the reason for that, I think. We have to face the incidents that happen at the moment. We could not plan that we will manage a similar situation like this. We could not compensate the losses given by the rain. But, we are given courage to face the next disaster.”
