Ilaiyaraaja has won his battle against Ajith Kumar and the makers of Good Bad Ugly!
According to the recent reports, the Madras High Court has passed a decision against the makers of Good Bad Ugly over the copyright violations. The music composers had accused the makers of Good Bad Ugly for using three of his songs without his permission.
Ilaiyaraaja also demanded adequate compensation for the unpaid dues as per the Indian Copyright Act, which is allowed to composer whenever their work is reused.
This is not the first time Ilaiyaraaja had taken the legal recourse. He had previously accused Lokesh Kanagaraj of using his songs in the movies Vikram and LEO without his permission. Interestingly, the title song of Vikram was itself based on the 1986 movie of the same name, whose music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja.
