An apartment near Sivan Temple in Vadapalani, Chennai caught fire, earlier today. It is said that short circuit in the electricity caused this major accident. The fire spread and burnt the two-wheelers in the parking area. When the public noticed this, they reported to the firefighters. Later, the people, who were rescued, were sent to the Hospital for treatment. Nine residents, who were injured, are getting treatment. Four people from the same family died in the accident. Among those four two were kids and two of them were women. It is heard that the building belongs to Vijayakumar, the ADMK official. The police officials are inquiring the case. Minister Jayakumar said that if the apartment was built violating the rules, then they will take necessary action against the building owner.
