She has experiences exceeding almost 40 years and has worked through the 1970s, 80s, 90s and is still working without even breaking a sweat. She was born in the city of Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh was very keen to get into acting and started her career in the year 1968. She has extensively worked in both movies and television. Rita got a Filmfare nomination for best supporting actress for her portrayal of Sumitra Garewal in the 1995 super hit and starrer ‘Raja’. Rita has done a number of roles and is indeed a very versatile actor. She has also featured in a number of hit television series including the likes of ‘’, ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’ and more.
