Plot

started a dance band and dreamed of becoming exceptional dancers. They didn’t just dream but put enough effort to become unique. They have to overtake the competitors to establish themselves. Their practice and dedication should’ve made them number one instantly, but they had some personal issues that hurdled their ambition. Did they break the hurdles and fly high? The rest of the film deals with their effort and dedication.
Star Performance
Anunath has done his job exceptionally well. Apart from dancing, his body language and dialogue delivery are fine. Prem Shankar, Rishi Kainikkara, Appu Ashray, and Siddharth have done their roles perfectly.
Analysis
From the beginning, we can see the focus of the director on not following the regular dance genre movies. The narration is clear and crisp. The running time of the film is one of its biggest pluses. The director takes time to establish the characters. The writers should be appreciated for giving equal importance to almost all the characters. All the characters are penned beautifully with proper depth to project them. Another plus point is that the film doesn’t derail from its track with several subplots. Some tribute films to celebrities have the celebrities’ names mentioned often. But that’s not the case in Moonwalk. They showcase the actors trying to become a Michael Jackson with their talent and dedication, without mentioning MJ’s name often. The visuals are good, and the art director should also be appreciated for his rendition. Above all, the music and dance choreography are the soul of the film. Thanks to Prashant Pillai, the composer and the choreographer Sreejit P Dazzler.
