1. ‘Bhargavacharitham Moonam Khandam’ – ‘Analyze This’
This film from the duo ‘
’ and ‘

Another Priyadarshan formula and the formula was still from one of the English films, named “A Fish Called Wanda.” The English film released during 1988, and “Kakkakuyil” was released during 2001.

’ – ‘Who Will Love My Children?’
“Akashadoothu” was a big hit among the Malayalam film fans. And it’s true that many of the fans cried watching this tragic ending movie. But the movie is inspired by one English film which was released in1983. The name of the TV movie was "Who Will Love My Children?"
6. ‘Romans’ – ‘We’re No Angels’
Romans had an exact story line of the 1989 movie “We’re No Angels.” There is a whole lot of cultural change when it comes into Malayalam though. The film “Romans” was a big hit in Malayalam whatsoever.
7. ‘Aanaval Mothiram’ – ‘Short Time’
Must say, “Aanaval Mothiram” is an exact copy of the 1990 movie “Short Time” directed by Gregg Champion. Sreenivasan played the lead role in the Malayalam version, and it was a success as it was taken nicely.
8. ‘Gulumaal: The Escape’ – ‘Nine Queens'
“Gulumaal" is not a perfect copy, but the main story line has its inspiration from an English movie "Nine Queens." But the movie was a complete disaster because it was poorly executed in Malayalam.
