When she was a child, she assisted her father in doing magic shows.
At the age of eight, she acted in the 1964 film, School Master and has now donned over 100 Malayalam films and few Tamil films. Her debut as a feature film actress was in P. Venu’s 1969 Malayalam film, Virunnukari. In 1973, she made her debut in the Tamil film industry and acted in P. Her last film was in Director Baby’s 1981 Malayalam film, Abhinayam, where she starred, alongside Jayan in the lead roles. She quit the showbiz world during the peak of her career and just focused on her family life. In 1984, she made a comeback in Sreemoolanagaram Vijayan’s Ente Gramam, but after this, she was never heard again.
In 2010, Vidhubala returns with a television show after 30 years of long gap.
