Amal Neerad, an Indian Film Director, Producer, and Cinematographer was born on October 7, 1976 in Kollam, Kerala. He was the college union chairman for two consecutive years at Maharaja College, Ernakulam and also won the first prize in the Mahatma Gandhi University Youth Festival as a hat-trick record for Photography.
He got married last year in April 2015 to actress Jyothimayi. Amal joined Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute in 1995 and has been awarded with National Award and Ajaykar Award for his amazing work in Cinematography.
He shot a self written movie at the Babel Berg Studio called ‘Fourth World’ which was seen in India at the German festival. Amal was awarded the National Awards for best cinematography for the movie ‘Meena Jha’.
