But this did not stop SRK from treating us with another hit film with a strong storyline and stupendous acting by the superstar. The collections were massive for Don, whereas they were a bit cold for Jaan-E-Mann.
The fight was between the biggest devotional film and the biggest asset the Indian Film Industry had the privilege of holding. In the end, Jai Santoshi Maa won the race but what happened with Sholay is not unknown to anyone. With its dialogues, star cast, songs and action, Sholay is an epic film which was and still is widely loved by the masses.
This was the first time Sunny Deol and Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir, were pitted against each other. The competition was neck to neck and once again, romance won the game but Ghayal wasn't lagging behind either. It turned out to be a strong, rugged game between the two films, and in the end, both were blockbusters.
