Rishi Kapoor is an actor born in the prominent Kapoor family who has a long history of Hindi cinema where members of the family had careers as actors, producers or directors. Rishi Kapoor was born to veteran actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor and Krishna Kapoor on September 4, 1952, in Mumbai. Born with a silver spoon, it was not a difficult task for him to make a debut in films. Raj Kapoor gave him a chance to play a teenager, who was caught on the thin line of boyhood and adulthood in the movie Mera Naam Joker. The film fell flat in the box office, and Raj Kapoor was in massive financial loss.

Hence to tide over the financial crisis Raj Kapoor created teenage romance film Bobby with Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia, which remains Rishi’s iconic film to date. Rishi Kapoor later became the most saleable actor in Indian screen and his chocolate boy image made him the romantic star to rule Bollywood for nearly three decades. The actor also acted with many new heroines who went to become established star after working with him.

For his playboy image, he was linked with many heroines but dated only one actress Neetu Singh and tied the knot with her in 1980. The couple had a stable marriage till today, and his son Ranbir Kapoor is an actor now and daughter Riddhima is a fashion designer. Rishi Kapoor later shifted to playing off-beat roles in films lime Ek Chaddar Maili Si or Agneepath or Do Dooni Chaar.

In Saagar, he acted with Dimple Kapadia again which has received a cult status now. Over the years, he has done a good number of films and now can be seen appearing in supporting roles. He won the national award as a child artiste. Intro: Apart from his great directorial skills for Bollywood movies, this veteran actor got fame for directing epical mythological television serial Mahabharat.Late Ravi Chopra was a veteran director who directed a number of successful Bollywood movies and some epic television serials for Indian television Industry. He was the son of late B.R. Chopra and he assisted his father in directing and producing a few Bollywood gems Dastaan (1972) and Dhund (1973). In 1969, he also worked as assistant director and producer for his uncle Yash Chopra for the movie Ittefaq. He debuted as an independent director for the movie Zameer in 1975 and after that, he directed some more highly successful movies such as The Burning Train, Mazdoor, Aaj Ki Awaj, Dahleez, Baghban, and Baabul.Ravi Chopra showed a great interest in Indian epics and directed the epical television series Mahabharat for Doordarshan National television channel which was aired from 1988 to 1990 on Indian national television channel. After that, he also directed a mini-series Ramayana in 2002. He continued to direct and work for some other mythological television shows such as Maa Shakti and Vishnu Puran. Recently, he was about to start directing another mythological television series Vasudev Krishna which was scheduled to be started in 2014-2015; however, his sudden demise because of lung cancer ended this project even before it could start. Ravi Chopra died on November 12th 2014, at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.

Riteish Deshmukh is the son of a politician, late Vilasrao Deshmukh, who was chief minister of Maharashtra for some terms as a Congress, party member.
