He is recognized nationally because of his brilliant artistic view of films. He received several awards of honor for his skills in the film industry. He died on 30 May 2013 after suffering from a heart attack. Here is the list of Bengali films by him as a director.

1. Chokher Bali

The film Chokher Bali is about the life of two women. It is based on the story written by Rabindranath Tagore of the name Chokher Bali. Binodini is a young woman. Her husband dies when she gets married. Now she is a widow. She goes back to her village and stays with her aunt. Her aunt, Mahindra, and his wife, Ashalata, live together. Mahindra becomes close to Binodini. They have an affair. Then Ashalata leaves and goes to Kashi. Binodini leaves and asks Behari to marry her. Behari is Mahindra’s friend. Behari rejects her because of his morals. But Binodini disappears after Behari agrees to marry her.
