Jayaprabha Anipindi is a poet. She was born in Nagpur, Maharashtra. She did her masters in Telegu Literature and completed her Ph.D. from Osmania University, Hyderabad, and a postgraduate course in Theatre. In 1984, she published her first collection of poems, Yuddhonmukhamga. It was her second collection of poems VaamanuDi MooDo Paadam created history of sorts with its path-breaking poetry, which later became feminist poetry. Two poems from this volume, Chupulu, and Pytani Tagaleyyali, have been translated into English and many other languages.
Her poems appeared in National and International anthologies like Oxford University Press, Penguin India, Sahithya Akademy, National Book Trust, etc. She also wrote love poems like Unforeseen Affection and Other Poems. She produced six volumes of prose named Bhava Kavitvamlo Stree which earned her accolades from readers and scholars. It was also prescribed as special reading at Bangalore University for years. While her other poem Naalugo GODa is one of the most important reference books in Telegu Theatre.
