Kondaveeti Venkatakavi is a poet, scholar, and film writer. On January 25, 1918, he was born in Vipparla, Andhra Pradesh, India. His parents were Seshamma and Narayana. He received a foundational education from his father and Sanskrit poetry instruction from Narikonda Nammalaraju. Subsequently, Kondaveeti shifted to Tenali where he worked as Tripuraneni Ramaswamy Chowdary's assistant. He also studied Sriharsha Naishada, Vyakarana in Sanskrit, Patanjali Bhashya, Vyakarana in Telugu, and Avadhanam. When he was 14 years old, he began composing poems. He also published several books. He later spent forty years lecturing in Sanskrit at Ponnur Oriental College and working as a Telugu scholar in Macherla. Moreover, Kondaveeti has won a number of honours, such as the Kala Prapoorna from Andhra University, the Kaviraju title in the Guntur district, and the Nandi Award for Best Dialogue Writer.
