Munasu Venkat is a talented poet of Telangana Literature. He writes in the Jiva language. Despite being born in a backward community, Munasa always had a deep connection with water, nature, and his community. He is also engaged in his ancestor's caste-based profession of fishing. At the river bank of the Panagal reservoir of Nalgonda, he began writing poems in Telangana Language. Internationally, he made a name with his powerful words.
Munasu was honored with the Sri Narayana Reddy Award. His literary work Meda was also translated into English by Manthena Damodara Chary. His literary work showcases an in-depth knowledge of the Telangana state. He was honored by the State Government and allowed to organize the first Kavi Sammelanam of Prapancha Telugu Maha Sabalu in Hyderabad. In 2021, in the International Standard Telugu Poems competition, Munasu's poem was selected as one of the top five poems out of 1292 Telugu poems received from all over India.
