Shruthi Singampalli

Shruthi is a very popular TV serial actress. She is from Vizag, Andhra Pradesh. Sruthi’s mother Nagamani is also an actress. When she got holidays after her 10th class, she came to Hyderabad with her mother and she went to the shooting spot with her. The director asked her to act in a village girl role there. She and her mother accepted and she acted in two serials which were telecasted on Doordarshan. She then went back to Vizag for her further studies.

At that time, she got many offers, but her mother did not accept for Shruthi to act in serials, because of her studies. However, the director said that “we will not trouble her studies, we will shoot at her free time only”. Then her mother accepted and shifted her to Hyderabad. She completed her schooling at Fort Catholic Girl’s High School at Vizag and completed her graduation at Wesly Degree College at Hyderabad.

She worked for more than 100 serials and got a breakthrough in Ruthuragalu serial, which was aired on Doordarshan. She also remembers that she was the heroine in the serial which was directed by Puri Jagganadh. She likes her character Madhuravani from the serial Kanyashulkam. She did almost 70% of the serials, as sad characters.

She did her first negative role in Nagasthram serial. Everybody was shocked when they saw her in a negative role, but she did very well in that serial. After that, she had been continuously acting in negative roles. She has 25 years of experience in serials. She got the Nandi award for Mogalirekulu serial.

She worked for Mogalirekulu serial for 5 years, her character was a Tamilian character and her name was Gomathi (mami). That’s the reason everybody thinks that she is a Tamilian, but she does not even know Tamil. If any small children come to the shooting spot, they used to hide behind their moms or cars and looked Shruthi with fear. She acted in few films like Snehageetham and Mee Shreyobilashi. She does not like acting in movies because she thinks that she is the acting queen of serials and wishes to act in serials throughout her life.

Shruthi’s husband Madhusudhan Singmapalli is also an actor. She has two children and their names are Pranav and Rithwik. Shruthi acted in Mogalirekulu serial with her husband and mother. Shruthi is a versatile person. She is also a dubbing artist, radio artist, anchor, and actor. Shruthi dreams to direct a movie if she gets a chance.

She has given her voice for more than 100 movies and she has done dubbing for Ravali, Silksmitha, Surabhi, etc. Now, she is the queen of the small screen.
