Aackruti Nagpal is an Indian film industry actress who has acted in various Telugu, Tamil and Bollywood movies. She is popularly known as Aartii Nagpal. Some of her famed movies are Madhu Madhi (1993 Tamil film) and Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty (2014 Bollywood movie). Aackruti Nagpal was born on 10 November 1980 in Mumbai. She has a filmy background as her mother;Mrs.ShraddhaPanchotia was a Gujarati actress as well as a politician. Her father, Mr.Ashwini Kumar Nagpalwas a native of Punjab.

Aackruti’s mother was a Gujarati film actress so she admitted Aackruti and Deepshikha in a Gujarati boarding school named, Arya Kanya Vidyalaya in Baroda district of Gujarat so that she could be able to meet her daughters on a regular basis.
After few years, Aackruti and her sister deepshikha returned to Mumbai to live with their parents. Aackruti was deeply inclined towards the acting career since her childhood. She started acting at the age of thirteen years and after that, she has acted in several Bollywood and Tamil movies. She got married to Mr. Anil Mistry with whom she has two lovely children, son, Vedant Mistry and daughter, Priyanshi Mistry. However, the marriage didn’t last and they both are divorced. She got her first break in Bollywood by the DevAnand's‘Gangster’ movie along with her sister Deepshikha.
After this she worked in the movie ‘Khuddar' (1994) starring Govinda and KarishmaKapoor, ‘Guddu' (1995) starring Shahrukh Khan and Manisha Koirala, Dance Party (1995), in which she played a lead role and done item songs in the movies like ‘Ektha Raja' (1996) starring Sunil Shetty and
Saif Ali Khan
& ‘KaalaSamrajya' (1999). Apart from movies Aackruti has also worked in advertisements for Amul, Essel world and done modelling for many famous designers like Manish Malhotra and walked the ramp on Lakme Fashion Week.
She has also worked in a Short Drama called ‘ Daily Rape' in the year 2014 which was critically acclaimed by the viewers. Aackruti Nagpal has also won the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Golden Camera Award 2016 for the short film “I FOUGHT I SURVIVED” which was written and directed by her. The short film was also nominated in Haryana Film Festival and was screened in FOG, San Francisco on 11th August 2016. She has also bagged a Tamil film named ‘Un KaadhalIrundhaal' which is a directorial debut of Hashim Marikar. Aackruti Nagpal has indeed come a very long way in the film industry and there is still a lot to be achieved by her.
