Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry is an Indian Lyricist and Poet. He works in the Telugu Film Industry as a Lyricist. His actual name is Chembolu Seetharama Sastry. Sastry was born on the 20th of May in the year 1955. He was born in Anakapalli, Andhra Pradesh. He is currently staying in Hyderabad, Telangana. Seetharama Sastry had his debut with writing songs for the legendary director K. Vishwanath.
His first song was for the film “Janani Janmabhoomi” (1984). He wrote songs for the film “Sirivennela” (1986). The songs were loved by the audience. That is the reason he got renamed from Chembolu Seetharama Sastry to Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry. Seetarama Sastry the face in a real-estate firm named “Subhagruha.” His poetry is published as a book named “Sirivennela Tarangalu.” Seetharama Sastry won his first Nandi Award for the Best Lyricist for the song “Vidhatha Thalapuna” from the movie “Sirivennela” (1986).
He won a total of eleven Nandi Awards for the Best Lyricist. He also won four Filmfare Awards for Best Lyricist. He received Padma Shri in 2019.
