Tharika is a popular, talented, young and upcoming actress who is seen appearing mostly in Tamil television serials and Tamil movies. Her original born name is Nisha and she has been active in the Tamil entertainment industry since the year 1994 and she initially started off as a child artiste. As time progressed, she also began to act in ad commercials and also participated in many Tamil reality shows among which Dancing Jodi No. 1 is mention worthy where she participated as a contestant in the season 1 of the reality show. Today, Tharika is mostly known for her ravishing item numbers in Tamil films and acting in mainly villainous roles in Tamil television’s daily drama soaps or tele serials. Tharika started her career in the Tamil movie industry with a strong supporting character role in the 2003 year movie Era Nilam which was made by P. Bharathiraja. After her initial success she went on to appear in many hit Tamil movies as a supporting actress before starting afresh as an item numbers in the movies. Some of the Tamil movies in which Tharika has appeared are- Aaru, Rendu, Aamara and Biriyani. She is also a popular actress of the Tamil tele serials. Ramany vs Ramany part 2 is a hit comedy Tamil serial in which Tharika acts as one of the lead female protagonist. Lakshmi, Chiththi, Kavyanjali, Geetamelam are some of the other popular Tamil tele serials in which Tharika is seen acting and sometimes appears in the roles of character with negative shades. Tharika has also acted in Kannada and Telugu movies.
