He was born on 15th November in 1953. Once he completed his education he started working in a travel agency after which he shifted to the hotel industry. After this he became a distributor in the film industry. During this time he distributed around 350 films in various languages. He has dubbed numerous films from Tamil to Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam. In the second half of the 1980s he produced only Malayalam films. In the 1990s he started producing Tamil movies. In 1993 he produced the movie, Gentleman for which he received the Filmfare Award under the best Tamil Film .
The leads in the movie are Arjun and Madhoo. It has been directed by S. Shankar and is a vigilante film in Tamil. The story revolves around a person who wants to take revenge for the wrongs done to him and his family. He was denied admission in a medical college as he was unable to pay the bribe for the seat. Also in the process he lost his mother and friend. He then decides to become a thief to be able to build a college for poor students. In the end, he manages to take revenge and build the college, but also has to serve his sentence for the crimes committed by him. The same movie was remade by Mahesh Bhatt Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt created a niche for himself >> Read More... in Hindi in 1994 by the name of The Gentleman. The lead in this movie was Chiranjeevi. In 1994 he produced Kaadhalan, which received the Filmfare Award in the Tamil Film Industry under the Best Film category.
The protagonists in the film are Prabhu Deva Story soon >> Read More... and Nagma. Other actors playing the prominent role in the film are Girish Karna, Raghuvaranand Vadivelu. The movie is a romantic thriller where the protagonists fall in love, not accepted by the family of the girl. The movie revolves around the man who gets involved in saving a hospital from a bomb blast and ends with getting together of the two protagonists. In 1996 Kunjumon announced a venture called Kodiesvaran, which would have been the debut of his son, Eby Kunjumon. But the movie could not get a theatrical release due to the financial troubles that K T Kunjumon was having. He did announce a comeback with Kathalukku Maranamillai in 2008. The film was completed by 2009 but also did not get a theatrical release.
