K.R. Gangadharan, popularly known as KRG, is an Indian producer who has produced over 60 films in the Tamil and Malayalam film industries under the banner; KRG Productions, KRG Art Productions, KRG Enterprises, and KRG Movies International. He was born in the year 1936. He was the founder of the Tamil Film Producer's Council and was also the president of the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce. He got elected as the president of the South India Film Chamber: unanimously by the producers of Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada film industries.
Some of the movies produced by his production houses are Kadal Meengal(1981), Nermai(1985), Sangham(1988), Varnam(1989), and many more. On 19-June 2012, KRG died. He was admitted to a private hospital at T.Nagar due to some health issues but responded well to the treatment. Some sources said, the day he died, he was about to get discharged. But as he was going to step out, he collapsed and was declared dead by the doctors.
