Sowdhamani is a Tamil news anchor who was born in Nagercoil, the southernmost tip of India in the Kanyakumari district in Tamil Nadu. Her fearless journalism is what makes her popular among the people.
In 1995 she went to Sree Ayyappa College for Women, where she completed her higher secondary education, and in 1998 while doing her post-graduation program from the University of Madras, she also started doing a job of TV newsreader in Doordarshan. Likewise, she got to fit in the Tamil press and media industry and henceforth did jobs at various other news channels.
In 2003, she left her job at Doordarshan and started working for the same designation of newsreader on Sun TV. After working for six long years, she left the field there to now start as a television news anchor at NDTV Hindu in 2010. Then again, in 2013, she was offered a job by Thanthi T. V.
The producers of the channel were highly impressed by her skills in journalism. Thus, they wanted her to be on their show. Presently, she works as a crime show Anchor in PuthuYugam T. V. as she left her old job back in 2016.
